Job Title: Safety Officer

Job Description: My client is looking for a temporary Safety Officer to work on their latest Engineering contract on behalf of the MOD.
The contract should run for approx 3-6 months and the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the the production teams awareness of the potential for unplanned losses of people, time, reputation and equipment, whether belonging to the client or others.
The Safety Officer will assist, where necessary, with the identification and assessment of the means of avoiding such losses. Where unplanned losses have occured, the candidate will advise and assist in mitigating their effect.
Main Duties:
Monitor conformance with Heatlh & Safety regulations & the clients codes of practice. Report and record safety performance To investigate, report and recommend action on accidents, near misses and non-conformances.
*To carry out, and assist others with, risk assesments and safe systems of work. *To provide advice on Health & Safety matters to line management. *To supervise the operation of the medical centre. *To provide training and information to all employees, subcontractors and clients, via induction *To assist line management in dealing with emergencies on ships and elsewhere. *To write safety policies, codes of practice, ships safety plans in the absence of (or at the request of) the Health & Safety Manager.
You must have experience in all of the above duties and have releavnt qualifications or work based training to be considered for this role.
Hourly Rate: £14 per hour.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm

To manage the council's statutory and operational responsabilities under homeless legislation, to develop and implement the councils's choice based letting scheme and to manage the council's temporary accomadation for homeless households.
It is essential you have an understanding, organisational vision to make sound judgements, be able to develop a team through understanding and managing the team effectively and supporting, developing individuals to achieve their goals.you must have knowledge of housing and homlessness legislation, case law and housing needs. along with a degree or housing qualification. Min experience of 3 years working within a local housing authority or association is also essential, you must also hold a clean driving licence or means of mobility support. This is a fixed term contract of min 3 months

Job Description: Our client is looking for an experienced cashier to operate a cash collection point for all payments due to the council and received at the offices of revenues and benefits services entering appropriate information onto the computerised system, issuing receipts and preparation of all the necessary payments reconciliation information including information necessary to permit the accurate banking of amounts received. You will also allocate cheques received without remittance/payment slips liaising with service areas and reallocate payments. Duties also include receiving and processing bulk cash banking from any council directorate or any authorised representative ensuring that any discrepancies are notified the appropriate officer and that official receipts are returned, process post dated cheques, assist the income management officers with any income management related tasks you will also provide clerical support to revenues and benefits services.
