Skills in Solid Works or alternative is required and there will be a simple test for my clients to measure candidate capability.

Ideally a Marine / ROV / Inverter background with some power electronics experience and understanding of a CANbus system or similar to communicate and drive our mechanical tractor.

• Induction;

• Subcontractor start up meetings;

Other duties include:
To carry out accident investigations and to ensure that accurate reports are submitted promptly to Site and headquarters management, Client Management and the HSE as required by Company procedures and current legislation.

To provide the Nuclear Services business with up-to-date knowledge and experience of all current Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems and information, and more specifically to provide the necessary support and guidance for the Site team to meet the overall requirements of the contract.

Minimum Qualifications required are
ONC and/or City & Guilds Technicians in an engineering discipline and must be NEBOSH Diploma II Certificated.

Preferred Qualifications are HNC in engineering discipline and a Member of IOSH (MIOSH or CMIOSH)

Experience required is 5-years in a HSE Function and 10-years in the construction industry. Preferably with nuclear related experience
The office is based in Gateshead however they operate nation wide therefore travel will be required.

Skills and requirements 

At least 5 years experience of working unaided on programming setting and operating a variety of 3, 4 & 5 Axis C.N.C. milling machines ideally including horizontal, vertical and bed type.
Extensive programme skills incorporating ISO Heidenhain Fanuc or Haas
Willingness to work flexible working pattern to meet company requirements
Aptitude for implementing continual improvements to increase machine productivity and ability to participate and contribute enthusiastically and constructively in six sigma projects
Ability to demonstrate skills and safely delegate duties to improve productivity whilst maintaining overall responsibility for the quality of the finished component
Knowledge and confidence to support and to stand in as acting technical supervisor when required.
